P.E.A.C.E: Personal Emotions Analyser using Computerised Editing

Thé program for self-analysis to strengthen your self-awareness and self-image: P.E.A.C.E. In other words, a DIGITAL self-analysis to be completed on your mobile phone, tablet or computer.

Clients who have learned this self-image enhancement method are very enthusiastic about it. P.E.A.C.E is a handy tool to write down events that affect you in such a way that you learn more about yourself, strengthen/repair your Self-image and thereby also become emotionally calmer.

Advantages of P.E.A.C.E.

There are some digital apps that are very similar to P.E.A.C.E. because they are basically digital self-analysis apps. But P.E.A.C.E. is really different. Below are the advantages and differences with other 'simpler' analysis apps:

  1. P.E.A.C.E. is easy to complete on your mobile phone, tablet or computer. On your mobile phone it works quickly and well if you have been touched by something. Then you can immediately start an exercise, on your couch, at your office or outside on a bench.
  2. P.E.A.C.E. teaches you to write in a very focused way. Usually, filling out so-called registration forms (e.g. monitoring your mood, behaviour, etc) takes up an unnecessary amount of time. With P.E.A.C.E. you will focus more purely on your thought patterns and especially on strengthening your Self-image. It is therefore more time-saving with much more effect than writing something haphazardly.
  3. P.E.A.C.E. is specially aimed at strengthening your Self-image and thus your so-called Basic or Core Thoughts. You learn to see more quickly how much you are being harassed by the Self-image devils (see also the Youtube video with an explanation of the Self-image model; see also the page about the Self-image model on this site). Most self-analysis apps are often too superficial and don't focus on your Self-Esteem Strengthening and that is a missed opportunity.
  4. P.E.A.C.E. uses the principle of errorless learning. It directs your writing and thinking in such a way that you learn to think more quickly in a healthy and realistic way. No other digital self-analysis programme does this. This makes it the most guiding and coaching writing programme for improving realistic thinking and strengthening your Self-image.
  5. The exercises are automatically sent to your email address. You can decide whether you want to email these exercises to your therapist for discussion. This is recommended because P.E.A.C.E. certainly still needs guidance from a therapist in the beginning.
  6. Because P.E.A.C.E. 'imposes' targeted writing in this way, a therapist can immediately see in the relatively short exercise where a client makes thinking errors and therefore also insufficiently strengthens himself in terms of Self-image. A therapist can therefore intervene directly on the P.E.A.C.E. exercises and thus can get much faster to the core of faulty thinking patterns and low self-esteem.
  7. The effect of P.E.A.C.E. turns out to be so strong after several weeks of practice that clients usually no longer need it after 3 months of practice. They have already learned to think healthier and more realistically, so that their Self-image has become much stronger.
  8. P.E.A.C.E. takes around 5 min to fill in, after some practice.

PLEASE NOTE:  P.E.A.C.E. it is not a panacea for everything. It is, however, a very useful and powerful tool to quickly learn to recognize your erroneous thinking patterns and thus also to strengthen your Self-image faster. However, only those who use P.E.A.C.E. a lot make progress in their Self-image and self-confidence within a few weeks. It is recommended to use P.E.A.C.E. at least 3-5x every week, especially in the 1st weeks. Clinical practice has shown that the strongest effect of P.E.A.C.E. already occurs within 3-4 weeks, but only if P.E.A.C.E. is being used almost every day. It is also important that a good cognitive therapist monitors the exercises and adjusts the exercise process where necessary.

Why writing is so powerful

P.E.A.C.E. is a highly focused writing programme. It has been shown for some years that writing has a clear positive effect on someone's mood. This is emphasized by several professors in a very recent article by the Wall Street Journal. The writing is called 'expressive writing'. P.E.A.C.E. is a very focused form of 'expressive writing' in which your Self-image is further strengthened and/or repaired.

Writing is probably so powerful in self-analysis because it:

  1. Slows down your thinking. In this way it is much easier to become more conscious of your thoughts. Normally, thoughts enter (and go out of) your very limited working memory (=attention span) in an extremely fast speed. Only with writing, you are much better able to slow them down and grab them.
  2. Writing can extract a large amount of your thoughts and put them on paper or on your digital device. In this way, you can easily get an overview of all your relevant thoughts.
  3. Writing slows down your thinking and therefore you can focus much easier on specific thoughts. Because thoughts - especially the nasty ones - are strongly related to your basic emotions, this focus on the most negative thoughts usually triggers strong basic emotions. To get into these emotions and to really feel them (and not pushing them away) is essential for your brain to heal and process things.

Because the platform on which P.E.A.C.E. is running - Jotform - is not free, P.E.A.C.E. is neither. But still, P.E.A.C.E. is quite affordable.

1 price applies to individuals and psychologists or therapists:

License for 3 months: 4,12 euros ex VAT (4,99 euros incl. VAT, so 1,67 euros per month), or multiple amounts of this. For example, for 6 months it is 9,98 euros.

In some cases, a therapist can provide the client with a code so that P.E.A.C.E. can be used temporarily for free for 6 weeks. However, a limit has been set to prevent negative earnings :).
